Had to put down one of my sheep this morning... She was our brave sheep who would come up and meet people, even strangers.  She'd hang out with us in the pasture.  Love you and will always miss you.  ...Our love was platonic but real.

I've had several cloven hoofed friends. A boar buck goat comes to mind often. He would hang out with some friends and myself for quite a long time. He even got so he loved to have cigar smoke blown in his face. Would even stand with his front hooves on my leg so his nose would be that much closer.




Thank you for posting this. I hope it let folks know that there are quite special farm animals. That can love back.

Thanks guys, i appreciate your messages.  She is the first "outdoor" animal i've lost and it was shockingly hard.  Thankfully my favorite vet happened to be on weekend call and helped her end peacefully.  Literally we lay her down in green pastures in the end.
