I love old machinery.  I love FINDING old machinery.  Any kind.  Investigating old abandoned canning factories.  Mills.  Homesteads.  Dumpsites.  I regret that many are so heavy, and remote, and on private property, that recovery is impossible.  I would love to have been able to recover an old Case 100Hp propane walk-behind tractor I came across.  (My "user" farm tractor is 60 years old.  The only reason it isn't older is that's about the earliest proper hydraulics came into use on tractors.)  Machinery is largely my line of off-farm work; I end up bringing home a lot of stuff that I just can't really see junking.  Too much, I suppose.    




And I totally agree; a farm gives you room for your packrat vice.   




I need a bigger barn.
