Rottys are wonderful dogs! I used to have some, back in the day, puppies too. But they became an issue for my business insurance (way before the current pitbull issues). And since this place is damn Grand Central Station sometimes, when the last one got grey in the muzzle I decided to not get another.
I had Danes at the same time; one day someone came by and told me they had been by earlier, wanted to pick up some piece of equipment they left for rebuild and I wasn't there (they would pay me later. Um, yeah). They went around, rattled the doors, and "The big one put me back in the truck".
Puppy got special praise later.
