Bork Bork? German? No. Dog noises in German would be "wau wau" ( btw this the onomatopoeotic name most kids give dogs in German) , "wuff wuff" or "kläff kläff". We only have one commonly used word with "Bork", and that´s "die Borke", what basically is German for the outer part of a tree, the "tree skin". The genuine translation of "to bark " in German is " bellen". "Der Hund bellt" = "the dog barks"...and it gets really funny if you´re Dutch, because in Dutch, "bellen" means "to call somebody via phone".
