Hmm, IIRC, we branched off from the other apes about 7M years ago, so, if we didn't have them that far back, how else could we get them more recently?
C'mon, now, I think we've all known human males who'd fuck anything that held still and run down the ones that didn't. Also, I don't think the transference of a specific species of ectoparasite happens overnight ... that takes a long-term commitment, LOL!
