Some of the pills we take to stay alive can cause that. Some we take for other unrelated reasons can help. These days you have to do your own research; so little of what you see (happy smiling people playing with their happy grandkids and happy dogs, while some fast-talker reads 25 ways their product may kill you) is valid. And a Dr with a focus on "quality of life" is worth is/her weight in (whatever you hold dear). It took about a year of trials, drawing of blood every 2 weeks, drug samples, forms endless forms, appeals of insurance company's decisions, etc. to find the right combinations. But couple of decades later, I'm still alive (after being technically dead at least once), and so is My Little Friend. And BTW, if after you find the right combo and some other "enlightened" Dr decides you should try something New and Wonderful, run like the wind, Grasshopper! (A week after the change I was in the ER, and soon $6000 poorer. And the ER Dr's diagnosis and directive was "Yeah they can cause that. Pitch the new pills and go back to your regular dosing".
