This is a perfectly valid point, and one that in my opinion requires a great deal more verification.  Some of the "doctoral thesis" threads of the past have turned out to have much darker intent.  "Trust but verify" as has been said before.  You ask for Good Faith.  I think it's fair to ask for substantiated proof.
