What type of hobbies do you have?

Well I assume as in "not a profession (income source)".    You can't take them as relatives on your tax return, so claiming you're married doesn't really fly in RL, and we will all have to get together and smack you senseless with rolled-up newspapers if you say they are a cover crop . . . . .

Yes but they are not a hobby either... Ooooh I think I get it now, like playing with dogs /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":D" width="20" />/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":P" width="20" /> that was dumb off me.

Having a dog must be plenty of fun in the forest.

Used to be.  Until I saw pics taken from above of MY FARM, good enough resolution to be able to count the baby lambs.  No more "outdoors behind the barn" for me-- !

BTW, the gun oil I tried was crap, stuck parts warm or cold.  I have used Mobil 1 (that's right, 10w30 full synthetic motor oil) for my "all weather" 9mm critter assasinator.   Works great in the truck too . . . . /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":D" width="20" />

Client: "Err, I was just helping my dog that was choking onto a bone"

Accuser: "So that's why you were pushing her from behind repeatedly"

Client: "Well yes"

Accuser: "Can you explain why you were naked?"

Client: "Well I was in the bathroom when I heard the noise so I went out, didn't have time to pick up on some clothes"

Accuser: "And what's this sticky substance"

Client: "Soap, it's soap, it's high in glycerin... good for the skin... see, keeps it shiny"

Accuser: "So let me see if I get this right, you were in the bathroom, heard your dog choking with a bone, run out without time to pick op the clothes, covered in high glycerin soap and started humping the dog from behind to get the dog to stop choking and it that specific instance our mapping plane happened to take a snapshot of what should have been seconds of action?"

Client: "Well... yes..."

Lawyer: Come on that was clearly invasion of privacy, Miss Ring obviously misinterpreted the situation and in fact just invaded the personal space of my client.

Accuser: Oh well, it's airspace...

Judge: Miss Ring, Mrs Jonhson, it's enough, I think I've come to a conclusion from all of this.

/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title="xD" width="20" /> well I got to use some gun oil that was pretty much made to work in the artic so it works pretty damn well, I guess it's different in the USA.

Oh btw, /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":|" width="20" /> I think things are rolling after all, I am getting nervous; I might be getting a dog... not this year, but next year after all.

Yes!  YES !!  That's how you perform Heimlich on a dog!  The more vigorously the better!  It's all for my love of dogs!

Pretty much the same way with cows, sows, ewes.  You owe it to those creatures to be properly vigilant too . . . . .

So I guess you are more practical, well I don't know, if you have a farm nothing really stops you from owning horses; unlike us city boys /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":|" width="20" />

I meant that the horse population on this farm has dwindled.  As well as in the general area.  Horses aren't profitable for some years now, and are expensive to keep.   They often don't do well with other livestock, or each other even, so a part of the farm and infrastructure need to be given over to them exclusively.   And from another perspective, some of the other critters are more satisfying.

With absolutely unlimited money and resources, yeah, I would have several horses.  As well as a few other critters; reindeer, alpaca, tame deer, I could even get into having a female sea lion.  But sadly, money is always a concern. . . .

A goodly share of my income from training horses goes to just keeping two of them. Not a profitable animal, you just have to love them to keep one, even if they work for you. My neighbor hauls logs out with two mules, and operates in the red most years, so needs a 'real' job too. My main customer races his and has a working stud and a dozen brood mares... AND gives riding lessons! and just stays above water. Another neighbor boards horses and gives lessons, out of love because she loses money... etc...

sw

post script: Dogs are no different btw. Not much profit even for working dogs or purebred breeders.

I haven't even touched a horse since I was like 8, I've only seen them in the distance every so often.
