Peeing During Sex
#1

Any ideas for training a bitch not to pee during sex?  Not talking a squirt or 2, more like a pint.  Or more.

It really puts a damper on activity in the house....

My first inclination would be to take her out for walkies first and make sure she'd emptied herself.

Or, I suppose you could just do her in the bathtub ...

Is she house-trained otherwise?

Never an accident inside.

So it's no accident (?)

Bathtub, then, and welcome to the wonderful world of watersports. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

Curious, though, has she always done this? Or is she new to you?

Had her a year or so.  Usually does so in the kennel.  Thought maybe "house trained" she wouldn't in the house but she did anyway.

Don't really got many ideas here. I imagine maybe it's a personal thing for her, like she does so in response to sufficient stimuli or finds it erotic, otherwise it could be some form of incontinence or an UTI. I'm no specialist, so just throwing these in the air here.

It's not like you could take her to the vet and say, "Hey, Doc, how come she pisses all over me when I'm fucking her?"

That said, on her next scheduled vet appointment, you could say something like, "She's usually really good with her house-training, but once in a while she has an accident. Could that be a sign of some problem?" And the vet will check for UT problems.

Just make sure you don't screw her for a while before you take her in. A week, maybe? Two, to be safe.

Just saw this, so being more canine-oriented / experienced I figured I'd toss my two cents worth in the pile.

My first question would be, is she a 'rescure' / 'adoption'? It does indeed sound like it. If so, sadly to say, she could he having fear / stress issues around the activity of sex. That's the bad part about rescues / adoption (though I like adoption over shopping, when you can rescue with S / N being performed, etc..).

Second, there's really no way you can 'train it out', if it's something as limbic as muscular contraction / urination, it's going to be hard for her to realize 'not here sweetie, just washed the sheets'.

Best suggestions I can offer:

* Make sure she's had a wee outside, make sure she's had a walk even.

* Ensure she's relaxed, and not at all showing signs of stresses (tenseness, ears pinned in any particular spot, REALLY wide eyes, showing teeth / snarl / etc...).

If you're unsure if she's 'had it bad' from a previous 'owner' or 'roomie' (human or canine) maybe start a little slower: some rubbing, a lubed (gloved, if rough skin / nails, rubber / PVC / latex free and SMOOTH of course) finger, etc.. Even your tongue, just be ready, if she lets go you may get a nasty surprise in your mouth if you're not in to WS.

Of course, there's the 'trips to the tub', but hopefully you two can work it out.

Depending on her mood, btw: it could be stress (as discussed) or, even submissive urination. Especially if she's been spayed / altered in any way.

I'm going for S/N not being performed, thank you very much--

Yes she is a "re-home", every dog since I was too young to remember has been, re-home, rescue, inherited, outlaw, as-is medical, wrong color puppies, chicken killer, some other excuse.

One when I was a little kid, the lookout called from the bar and said the "owner" was soused (as usual) the coast was clear.  "It was a dark and stormy night", down a single lane drive to the shack illuminated only by the headlights, wait in the car while they ran out in the rain and unhooked the chain and hustled the dog into the car, and backed down the narrow drive to the main road.

The urination seems to be pretty much by stimulation, near the end / climax.

History:  PB Dane.  She was a breeder, 2 litters, intact in every way (natural ears, dew claws, etc.).   Bit thin, at least thinner than I care for, when I got her, but readily gained weight.  Happy, light barker, wall banger tail wagger.

Absolutely, I was simply ruling that out. Reason being, S / N canines can indeed still have sex, but can have certain issues with it. So, of course, we're on the same page here.

Awesome! Love to see this. It's good to know the 'adopt don't shop' is alive and well, AND in the proper spirit of no S / N.

Okay, yeah: some humans even do this to my knowledge (never been with one, let alone Female). Hell, sometimes knotting with my hubbs can make me do this some too. A lot of the same muscles (bladder, vaginal / anal) intersect in there, and are separated by semi-thin tissue and muscle, so it's understandable that this can happen.

Good to hear good to hear man! Sounds like she was a bit underfed, at times, depending on if the person is an idiot or not they can be thin after  breeds / litters. She may be an American Dane too, they are thinner as well. Though, good to hear she's at a healthier weight.

It sounds like she knows how to get down if she's had litters before: however, she may be a 'wet lover' as stated above. Some Females and Males even 'leak' a little during sex.

Persona question: but may explain some too, does she seem really 'in to the act'? Get really excited, really enjoy the idea / get wet beforehand etc? Not asking to be a perv', but she may be just getting really overexcited /  stimulated at the thought, and leaking.

Sounds pretty normal to me for all intents and purposes. If anything else develops though, may be time for a vet trip. That's if there's any blood / funky discharge, etc.
