A little overcast, some high cirrus but nothing too obscuring!  ...and there's Venus just off to the right!

Dark overhead (in the distance the sun was still shining), birds flew away into the trees! and the crickets began chirping!

The dash cam in my truck also caught the moons shadow. Each file is 1 minute long.

I took no pictures, but we had a great time viewing the eclipse. Very, very little cloud cover for us, the rolled in slightly after totality had passed. Probably one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life.
Looks like the lug had a good time, Hiway!

The temperature change was quite interesting...

I thought it was weird how even where I am (which is only 90% eclipse in honesty) almost all the animals in the forest around me go silent during the eclipse until about 5 minutes after.  Freaks them out lol.

Oh, that poor 600mm lens! Makes me cringe just looking at it. At least they were able to fix it in house so it wasn't completely ruined.

I didn't have a solar filter for my digital point-and-shoot, so I just taped a spare pair of eclipse glasses over the lens opening. No damage done, but the photos didn't turn out very well: the auto-focus couldn't focus on the sun, or the moon last night, which was orangey-red due to forest-fire smoke particles in the night sky. I need a better camera. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":/" width="20" />
