It was a bit like that. Suddenly got crippled and excruciating pain every day for a half a year (but for all I knew the pain was for the rest of my life). It was illogical but couldn't stop thinking about zoophilia the entire time.

It feels a lot like being traumatized repeatedly. Meanwhile, everyone around you doesn't know what's going on.
